Lauren Filer, England cricket player and bone broth ambassador

Bone broth is doing everything I hoped it would and more. From day one I have had a strong belief that bone broth needs to be put into the hands of athletes, and it is doing just that šŸšŸš€

Welcome Lauren Filer šŸ™Œ international fast bowler playing for England and Durham. Lauren made her debut for England in 2023 and has since proven herself to be one of the most exciting and promising fast bowlers in the women’s game. Her intensity, work ethic and fearless approach to fast bowling make her a perfect fit for Asthi and everything the brand stands for.

Asthi will be following Lauren around the UK and hopefully abroad as she plays in the Women’s World Cup this summer to make sure her recovery is supported from every possible angle. Lauren is also a big foodie and I’m looking forward to seeing what broth creations she conjures up when she has the chance to cook šŸ‘©šŸ»šŸ³

Being able to support a female athlete as a female founder in a sport which is predominantly male dominated is something I am hugely proud of, and I can’t wait to see how this partnership grows over time. This feels like the beginning of something special, not just for Asthi and Lauren, but for creating a conversation around how female performance, recovery, and nutrition in elite sport could look.

There is also something quite synchronistic between Sonny and Lauren. They both played for Somerset, are both from the west country and are both fast bowlers. This couldn’t be more aligned with my roots also being from the west. I’ve got fond memories being in my grandparents’ sitting room in East Coker, Somerset with my grandpa sat glued to the cricket on TV being told off by my granny for not paying attention! This one’s for you gramps.

Here’s to a huge summer ahead and hopefully many more seasons supporting Lauren on and off the pitch ā˜€ļøšŸ¦“
