The last year has been wild! So many moments have looked like stop signs which I have treated as speed bumps, and now here I am, proud and excited to let you be the first to know that Asthi Bone Broth is now available to order online….just in time to make all those delicious gravies and stews.
I make the broth with spring water from a local well, organic/biodynamic herbs and vegetables and grass-fed beef bones. Each batch is a complete labour of love ready to transform your recipes or to be enjoyed as a warm beverage. Your broth needs to be kept in the fridge and it comes with a 10-day shelf life. In the unlikely event that you can’t use all your broth, simply decant it into Tupperware and freeze.
For the next two weeks, I am soft launching with a maximum of 30 bottles being made per week with 20% off. If you live within 5 miles of the kitchen your broth will be delivered by my own fair hands, like the milkmen, to your front door for FREE. Use the code GARLICDEL. Minimum of two bottles need to be ordered to qualify. I will then close over the Christmas break to take stock (quite literally) and will then be full steam ahead into the new year.
To encourage ‘no waste’ I am giving you 30p off your next purchase for every bottle that you clean and return or leave out for collection.
Whilst I am sure there will be a fair amount of speed bumps to navigate, I am full of hope that it will be a good one. With the aim to make Asthi completely zero waste, I am hoping to get all the discarded bones turned into compost. The real circle of life. I get the bones, which are turned into bone broth, the bones then get turned into compost and put back on the land which helps the grass grow for the cows to eat, and so on. Apart from the gas for the oven and bratt pan, the kitchen runs off solar power and will soon harvest its own rainwater. Finally, when I have my feet a bit more on the ground, the next flavour will be Wild Venison – truly sustainable and delicious.
If you do take a punt and buy a bottle - link in my bio - please let me know what you think. Take photos. Share them on social media and tag @weareasthi. It all helps!
